About the Accessible Digital Design Academy

Welcome to the Accessible Digital Design Academy (ADDA) where we help you create digital material that is welcoming and usable. Together we are empowering professionals to create documents, slides, spreadsheets, web pages, and more that everyone can access.

Our story

Making accessibility simpler for everyone

The Accessible Digital Design Academy (ADDA) was created to make accessibility simpler for everyone. Across workplaces and classrooms, people want to create inclusive documents, slides, and digital material but they often feel overwhelmed by complex standards, limited training, and rising legal requirements. ADDA exists to remove that confusion.

Founded by Michele Brannon-Hamilton, an educator and accessibility specialist with more than twenty years of experience, ADDA blends expert-led instruction with real-time AI guidance. Michele has helped universities, colleges, and organizations design accessible material and understands these challenges personally as someone with a hidden disability.

ADDA's mission is to shift accessibility from a last-minute task to a natural part of digital design. Through practical training and supportive tools, we help professionals create content that everyone can access and understand. Our goal is simple: make accessibility easier, faster, and more achievable for everyday creators.

Michele Brannon-Hamilton

Communications and Technology Professor, Instructional Designer, Accessibility Advocate

I'm Michele, the founder of the Accessible Digital Design Academy.

I'm a communications and tech professor, instructional designer, and accessibility advocate with a Master of Ed Tech degree, a lifetime of experience, and a passion for proactive accessible design. I also have a disability.

I grew up in a time when disabilities were hidden. Now I'm building a digital world where everyone is included, and I help people create digital material that is accessible to everyone. I believe in proactive design where we create for everyone before we design, not after.
